As President of Proactive Solutions HR, Jen works closely with Executive Leaders to yield results that are aligned with their organizations’ goals. Jen especially excels at finding potential blind spots and providing proactive approaches to navigating both recruiting and HR initiatives. She loves cultivating a relationship rather than just managing a transactional placement! With her continued commitment to HR excellence, Jen maintains her SHRM, SCP designation.
Born and raised in Troy, Michigan (with a 4-year stint in Zaragoza, Spain), Jen is a proud Spartan, having graduated from Michigan State University in 2001. Jen knew she wanted a career with people early on, having learned from her father (a former HR Professional with General Motors).
Jen has more than 20 years of related HR experience. She started her career in human resources with a Tier 1 automotive supplier. In 2004, after moving to Chicago, Jen joined Robert Half International. There, she spent almost seven years handling temporary and permanent placements in the Greater Chicagoland area.
After RHI, Jen found the perfect role where she could utilize her HR and recruiting skills, leading one organization’s growth from 38 to approximately 140 FTEs. In 2016, Jen dipped her toes in the entrepreneur’s path, opening Proactive Solutions HR in 2017. As PSHR has continued to grow, Jen enjoys partnering with clients ranging from 5 to 300 FTEs.
Jen enjoys time with her husband, daughter and son (ideally on the beach). She has been an avid Canasta player since she was eight years old. Like most Michiganders, she also plays a mean game of Euchre.
